Winter Moratorium

Currently we are in Winter Moratorium that lasts until Jan. 4, 2012.  This means that the coaching staff will not be able to work with softball players until January.  Off season workouts can be picked up in Coach Barney's office at the High School if you are wanting some direction and tips on what to concentrate on.

Starting Jan. 4, 2012 Softball Clinics will start again.  You can download the schedule here, or check with Coach Barney on times and location.  Clinics will focus mainly on offensive drills, but any skill can be worked on.  Bring all equipment and come dressed in workout clothes.

Be aware that there are 15-30 girls who would like individual instruction and there are only 2 or 3 coaches available at the clinic.  Be willing to learn new skills and then work with a partner to perfect it.  Self-discipline and motivation are critical during off-season workouts!  Lets get ready for the new upcoming season!!!

Softball Clinics

To all ages
The coaching staff and varsity team are holding skills clinics every Monday @ 2:00pm and Wednesday @ 3:00pm on the softball field until November 1st.  No cost is required, but if you are interested in donating to the program please do so through the OHS financial office.

Girls should bring all softball equipment that they desire to use (i.e. glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet) and dress in appropriate clothes to work out in.

St. George March Warm-Up

The following is information about our annual trip down to (hopefully) sunny St. George.  If you have any questions you can contact Coach Barney or find the schedule at sgcity.org

Games:
March 11th-  6:30pm & 8:15pm on field #5 of the Canyons Complex
March 12th- 9:00pm on field #5 of the Canyons Complex
***2 other games will be played on Saturday and the times will be determined after the first game  on saturday.

Congratulations

Congrats to all those who made this years 2011 Orem Softball Team!!!  Its exciting to see all the talent and hard work combine together to make this years team successful!

Winter Workouts

The weather is finally warming up and we are seeing the sun more often!  That can only mean one thing......Softball season is right around the corner.

Open Gyms
Every Wednesday and Thursday night from 8pm - 10pm. 

We will be doing a variety of off season drills and exercises so bring your mitt, batting gloves, and good shoes to work out in.

2:00pm-  All Freshman

March 1st
3:00pm-  All girls
